WHAT IS A 2-Wire Intercom?
2-wire video Intercom systems are IP based, but signals transmit on just two wires rather than the eight wires required for a digital IP Intercom.
With only one pair of wires used to transmit and receive, 2-wire intercoms are half-duplex or semiduplex systems.
However, with only one pair of wires required, 2-wire Intercoms are excellent for updating systems using existing cabling.
As 2-wire systems can use the existing cabling from previous hardware, installation becomes easy, fast, and cost-effective.
