IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLAYING BACKED UP VIDEO FOOTAGE The latest 16 Channel High Resolution DVR Systems require the installation of a
HD Video Playback Codec for Windows file in order to play backed up video footage.
This
HD Video Playback Codec for Windows can be downloaded from our CCTV Downloads Page, in our support section.
The Nadatel H.264 N Series Standalone DVR System has a number of user configurable functions that are available to the user.

Entering the DVR Setup Menu
The DVR SETUP screen allows you to configure your DVR Device.
1) Press the [SETUP] button on your remote controlor front panel of the DVR system.
2) The System will prompt you for your username and password.
The default username is admin and
the default password for the system is 1111
4) The Default user "admin" should already be selected for you.
5) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control or DVR front panel, select the button located on the right of the password field.
6) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
7) The DVR Will now prompt you for the password for the "admin" user.
8) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, or DVR front panel, highlight the requested letter / number for the password, and Press the [SEL] button to select the letter / number.
9) Continue step 8) untill you have entered all the required letters / numbers for the "admin" password.
10) Using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to close the password form.
11) Finally, using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the login screen, and press the [SEL] button to continue.
The DVR Setup Screen will now be displayed.

Exiting the DVR Setup Menu
Press the [ESC] button on your remote control or the DVR front panel to exit any configuration settings that you may be configuring.

Setting the Date and Time
WARNING : Changing the Date and Time may result in video footage being deleted from the system.
It is recommended that you back up ALL required video footage before using this option !
To change the System Date and Time,
1)
Enter the DVR Setup Mode 2) Select the SYSTEM menu tab using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons on your remote control or DVR front panel.
Press the [SEL] button to enter the selected "System" menu tab.
3) Using the [UP] and [DOWN] arrow buttons, select the SET DATE / TIME button.
4) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
5) The Set Date and Time Window will now be displayed.
6) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the "Set Date and Time" field.
7) Press the [SEL] button, this will check the "Set Date and Time Field".
8) A new Warning window will now pop up, explaining that if you set the Date and Time to a period before the current recorded footage, then that recorded footage will be erased.
9) Press the [SEL] button to acknowledge this warning, and continue.
10) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the first (The Day of the Month) field.
11) Using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons, change the Day of the Month field to the desired Day of the month.
12) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the second (Month) field.
13) Using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons, change the Month field to the desired Month value.
14) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the third (Year) field.
15) Using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons, change the Year field to the desired Year value.
16) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the fourth (Hour) field.
17) Using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons, change the Hour field to the desired Hour value, in 24 Hour format.
18) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the fifth (Minute) field.
19) Using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons, change the Minute field to the desired Minute value.
20) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the sixth (Seconds) field.
21) Using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons, change the Seconds field to the desired Seconds value.
22) Press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the [OK] button on the screen.
23) Press the [OK] button to continue.
24) The DVR system will now restart, with the corrected date and time being set.

Changing the Administration Password
WARNING : Changing the Administration Password may result in being locked out of the system completely...
Use this option with CAUTION !!!
To change the Administration Password,
1)
Enter the DVR Setup Mode 2) Select the SECURITY menu tab using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons on your remote control or DVR front panel.
Press the [SEL] button to enter the selected "SECURITY" menu tab.
3) Using the [UP] and [DOWN] arrow buttons, select the USER PASSWORD button.
4) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
5) The USER PASSWORD Window will now be displayed.
5) The first field in the User Passwrod form displays the Username that we will be changing the password for.
6) If you wish to change the password for a different user, simply press the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] arrow buttons to select the desired username.
7) Press the [DOWN] arrow button twice to highlight the button located to the right of the CURRENT password field.
8) Press the [SEL] button to continue. 9) The DVR system will now prompt you for the selected users current password.
10) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, or DVR front panel, highlight the requested letter / number for the selected usernames password, and Press the [SEL] button to select the letter / number.
11) Continue step 10) untill you have entered all the required letters / numbers for the selected users password.
10) Using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to close the password form.
12) Press the [DOWN] arrow button twice to highlight the button located to the right of the NEW password field.
13) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
14) The DVR system will now prompt you a new password for the selected user.
15) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, or DVR front panel, highlight the requested letter / number for the selected usernames new password, and Press the [SEL] button to select the letter / number.
16) Continue step 14) untill you have entered all the required letters / numbers for the selected users new password.
15) Using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to close the password form.
16) Press the [DOWN] arrow button twice to highlight the button located to the right of the CONFIRM password field.
17) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
18) The DVR system will now prompt you to confirm the new password for the selected user.
19) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, or DVR front panel, highlight the requested letter / number for the selected usernames new password, and Press the [SEL] button to select the letter / number.
20) Continue step 19) untill you have entered all the required letters / numbers for the selected users new password.
21) Using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to close the confirm password form.
22) Finally, press the [DWON] arrow button once to highlight the [OK] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to save changes made to the selected users password.

Configuring Motion Detection
Motion Detection allows for more video footage to be saved, only when movement has been detected by the DVR System.
This allows for a longer duration of video footage to be saved, without affecting saved video quality.
To Enable Motion Detection on a Camera,
1)
Enter the DVR Setup Mode 2) Select the DEVICE menu tab using the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow buttons on your remote control or DVR front panel.
Press the [SEL] button to enter the selected "DEVICE" menu tab.
3) Press the [DOWN] arrow button four times, so as the Channel # field is highlighted.
4) Using the [LEF] and [RIGHT] arrow buttons, select the desired channel / camera that you wish to change the motion detection setting for.
5) Once the required Channel / Camera number has been conifgured, press the [DOWN] arrow button twice, to highligh the Motion Sensitivity Setting.
6) Next, use the [LEFT] and [RIGHT] arrow button to adjust the selected channel / cameras motion setting.
1 = Least Sensitive
9 = Most Sensitive
7) Once the motion detection sensitivity setting has been configured, press the [DOWN] arrow button five times, so as the [OK] button on the screen is highlighted.
8) Press the [SEL] button to save the motion detection settings.

Viewing Video Footage
Recorded Video footage can be viewed using the following procedure,
1) Press the [SEARCH] button on your remote control or the front panel of the DVR.
2) The System will prompt you for your username and password.
The default username is admin and
the default password for the system is 1111
3) The Default user "admin" should already be selected for you.
4) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control or DVR front panel, select the button located on the right of the password field.
5) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
6) The DVR Will now prompt you for the password for the "admin" user.
7) Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, or DVR front panel, highlight the requested letter / number for the password, and Press the [SEL] button to select the letter / number.
8) Continue step 7) untill you have entered all the required letters / numbers for the "admin" password.
9) Using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to close the password form.
10) Finally, using the arrow buttons, highlight the [OK] button on the login screen, and press the [SEL] button to continue.
The DVR Setup Screen will now be displayed.
11) Using the [UP] and [DOWN] arrow buttons, highlight the TIMELINE option.
12) Press the [SEL] button to select the timeline option.
13) Next, press the [DOWN] arrow seven times. This will highlight the [NEXT] button displayed on the screen.
14) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
15) A Calendar type window will now be displayed.
16) Using the arrow buttons, select the desired month, as well as the desired day / date that you wish to view footage from.
17) Press the [SEL] button to select the highlighted day / date.
18) Press the [ESC] button. This will highlight the [CANCEL] button on the screen.
19) Press the [RIGHT] arrow button to highlight the [NEXT] button on the screen, and press the [SEL] button to continue.
20) The System will now display the available footage for the date selected.
The coloured bars represent what hours video footage is available for the selected date.
21) Using the [FORWARD] and [REWIND] buttons on your remote control or DVR front panel, select the required start Hour for the Video Footage.
NOTE : Available Video footage for each camera will be displayed as a RED Line on the Numbered Bar
22) When ready, press the [SEL] button to begin viewing video footage.
23) At this time, you can use the following buttons to control the playback of the Video footage.
F/REW : When pressed, will rewind the video footage by 1 minute.
PLAY : When pressed, will pause or play the video footage.
F/ADV : When pressed, will forward the video footage by a period of 1 minute.
REW : When pressed, will change the rewind speed on playback.
FF : When pressed, will change the play speed on playback.
13) Once viewing is completed, you can exit this mode by pressing the [ESC] button.

Backing Up Video Footage
Backing Up Video footage allows you to permanently save video footage to a USB device such as a USB Memory stick, or a USB CD Burner.
To save Video footage to a USB device,
1) Search for the required video footage using the method outlined above.
2) Once the required video footage has been located, pause the playback of the video footage.
3) Press the [BACKUP] button on the remote control, or DVR front panel.
4) The DVR will prompt you to either back up a still image, or a video.
5) To select a video for backup, press the [DOWN] arrow button to highlight the "Video Clip" option.
6) Then press the [SEL] button to select the "Video Clip" option.
7) Next, press the the [DOWN] button to highlight the Next button displayed on the screen.
8) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
9) Using the [UP] and [DOWN] arrow buttons, highlight the "DURATION' field.
10) Using the [LEFT] and [RIGHT] arrow buttons select the total video length in minutes, that you would like to back up.
11) Once the required duration is set, press the [DOWN] arrow button four times to highlight the Next button displayed on the screen.
12) Insert a suitable USB memory stick in to the USB slot on the front of the DVR system.
13) Press the [SEL] button to continue.
14) The Video Footage will now be saved to your USB device.
