The latest model Nadatel N Series DVR Systems support remotely viewing live video footage using an iPhone, iPad, or Andriod device, using a wifi or 3G internet connection.
This guide outlines the steps required to install the iUMS remote view software for the iPhone or iPAD, as well as configuring the software to connect remotely to a DVR system.
Installing the iUMS Client Remote View Software
To install the iUMS remote view software for the iPhone, iPad, or Andriod device, you will need to obtain the application from the Apple iTunes store, or the Andriod Market Place.
Simply searh for the iUMS client, download and install the application to your selected device.
Configuring the iUMS Remote View Software
To configure the iUMS remote view software,
- Start the iUMS application on your device,
- Tap on the + Button, located at the top right of the screen
- The following Add Site Form will now be displayed,

- Tap on Site: and Enter a descriptive name of the DVR location that you are adding to the software
- Tap on the SAVE button located at the top right hand side of the screen to save the Site name
- Tap on IP/DNS: and enter the I.P Address provided to you by Symetrix. (If the remote view option was provided)
- Tap on the SAVE button located at the top right hand side of the screen to save the I.P Address or URL of the DVR that you will be connecing to
- Tap on Port: and enter 5445 (Note: if you have more than one DVR available at a single site, then the actual value you need to use may differ.
- Tap on the SAVE button located at the top right hand side of the screen to save the Port used to connect to the selected DVR system
- Tap on ID: and enter the Username that you wish to use to log in to your DVR system. (NOTE: You can use the default username of admin to connect to your DVR system)
- Tap on the SAVE button located at the top right hand side of the screen to save the ID / Username used to connect to your DVR system
- Tap on Password: and enter the password that you use to log in to your DVR system. (NOTE: You can use the default password of 1111 to connect to your DVR system)
- Tap on the SAVE button located at the top right hand side of the screen to save the Password used to connect to your DVR system
- Finally, tap on the SAVE button located at the top right hand side of the screen to add the selected DVR and Site information to the iUMS software.
The iUMS software will now be configured to connect remotely to your DVR system.
